Monday, November 17, 2008 Still seeking sponsors for the PBS showings of the new documentary
I am still seeking corporate sponsors for the food allergy documentary PBS showings. This is for a 15 second advertisement of the company. This is not a charity. If interested please contact me at KJLindenmuth@aol.com for specifics about the sponsorship opportunity. The deadline is the end of January 2009, so less than three months away.

Monday, November 17, 2008 quotes on the Allergy documentary...
QUOTES on ALLERGY DOCUMENTARY as of 11/12/2008
“A must see DVD” Vermont Food Allergy Organization
“Am I allowed to make this required viewing for every childcare worker and educator in the country? Because I’d like to. This film clearly and carefully lays out the basics of what it’s like to be food allergic and/or to have a food-allergic child.” -- GoDairyFree.com
“a useful guide to food allergy for the newly diagnosed, and includes medical commentary from some well-respected names in food allergy research.” --Peanut Allergy UK
“You have managed to tell our story, all of our stories! It pleases me to no end to see how the piece has turned out. You've done a great job. We can't thank you enough for helping to educate the masses.”-- Melissa Dalton, COFAF

Food Allergy Resource Fair on Wednesday, November 19th, put on by the Food Allergy Support Group of Minnesota "Strengthening Families & Communities Affected by Food Allergies" wendy@foodallergysupportmn.org Website: www.foodallergysupportmn.org

Wednesday, November 12, 2008 update of PBS broadcasts and local screenings
Detroit PBS will be showing a one-hour version of the documentary in late January/early February 2009, which will probably be on a weekend. I do not yet have a specific day/time.
National PBS showings will start in April/May of 2009 to coincide with “Food Allergy Awareness week” in May (7th-11th, 2009). It is over half a year away but it makes the most sense to have it showing around this time as more stations will pick it up and more people will tune into the program. I will not know the specific times of these showings, so the best way to check is to check your local PBS station listings (they usually only list two or three weeks ahead of time). Also, email your local PBS stations about this to help get the word out.
The DVD (84 minutes) is now available directly on my website and will soon available through Amazon.com in several weeks. The Library Video Company will also feature it in their catalog, for sale to libraries across the country.
UPCOMING SCREENINGS: (of the 84 minute version of the program) Below are the 2nd and third local screenings of the documentary. I am working on securing screenings through other food allergy support groups in Ohio, Indiana and Illinois, which will happen between January-May 2009.

Wednesday, November 12, 2008 Peanut Allergy UK review
There's a recent review of the food allergy dvd at Peanut Allergy UK...
http://www.peanutallergyuk.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=4054
It's a short four sentence review. I disagree that it will be of "limited use" to those in the UK...only five minutes of the documentary deals with support groups in the US. !!!!!
